Hello people,

I have some serious problems with my car and i don't know what to do.
so here's my story.

my punto (1.9 jtd) is 2003 model. before two weeks i had to replace the alternator. after that intervention, car nedded some time to start. i thought it was because the battery was low and i didn't think much about it. well couple of days later, he actually didn't start. not on cables or anything. so i called a friend to plug in the computer. his diagnosis was that spark plugs were dead, and they were. so i changed them. but the car still doesnt start, even worse , i started the car with start spray and after a km or two, the pump led went on. and the car didn't get rpms. well my friend who did diagnosis, did another one , which was that the engine doesnt get enough pressure. but that still doesnt explain why the car wont start.
my Punto has like 170.000 km ... so the turbine shouldn't be dead or anything....
and i'm searching for someone who can help me... i would really appreciated the gesture...

well , guys i didn't do any of this things, but i will try... especially the idea with towing..
the problem is that the guy who is doing my car now, he doesnt know how to solve it... thats comforting...
today im going to get my car back home, and i will try those things...
but i believe, thats there a problem with heating or bosch pump... so i don't felling really optimistic :S.. did some research...
thanks for help and ideas,...

will keep u posted

oh nd in turns , just that engine doesn't start,....

id be checking the timing/belt

you said you were playing with the altenator, maybe you've loosened a tentioner or something and the belts jumped

microbelt was changes as well, when alternator belt is down, your servo goes of and the battery light is on :).
im taking the car to the official dealership just to evalute what's wrong. and hoping it isn't the fuel injection pump.

:S

Battery light should be on till the engine is running where the self exciting alternator kicks into action and charges itself
