General help please

HI All,

Can anyone help with a few problems i'v got with my camper.

Q;What engine do i have? I know it's a 2.5lt tdi, the engine plate says.
8140 47
versione 230BEMAB

Q;Any idea where to get a workshop manual to cover my engine.

Q;How should this engine perform? Although i have a 2.5tdi engine.The engine is lacking power especialy on hills (no other symptoms),uses no oil or water,has good fuel consumption.

Q..where is the turbo within the engine? and how can i tell if it's working.

You have the correct info with that engine code (8140 47) it is a 2.5 TDI (Turbo Diesel Injection)
- 2.5 litre OHC 2499 cc 85 HP (116Kw) there is also an 8140.47R with 80 HP?
The only place I have seen that you can get a workshop manual CD for the Ducato 230 models is from the Fiattechnicalinformation website https://www.technicalinformation.fiat.com/ecomm-web/web/ Price €: 75,00 + tax - you can buy online or from a Fiat dealer???? - just have to jump through hoops to get one as in part with your limbs & sign your life away etc.
I have no idea as to the performance of the 230 2.5 TDI vehicles but it is probably a more relavent complaint as with the 2.8 versions which is related to the high gearing in 5th slowing it on hills etc.
Maybe some of the forum people with the 2.5TDI models can post their thoughts.
Normally with turbos operating correctly you can hear the whine of the tubocharger as the engine is spedup & when slowing down to idle speed.
The turbocharger itself is bolted on the exhaust manifold behind the engine ( I assume the 2.5 is located similar to the 2.8?) & the exhaust engine pipe is attached to the turbo outlet.
