Technical Help Please!!!!

Hello there people! I have got a problem with my fiat marea 20v weekend. While my engine was ticking over one of my friends thought he would spray lithium grease over a spueaking crank pulley belt which quickly resulted in the engine dying and will NOT start. I also understand that he also sprayed the injector plugs and anything else he could see!!!!!!!!! There seems to be No spark????? I have been told by a friend that this problem could be the crank sensor has been covered with grease which would cause it not to start.

please please can anybody help me????

bravo_owd_chap (my hubby and mechanic) says clean everything he sprayed with a de-greaser or white spirit and see if it then works. If the sensors are clogged they wont work especially the crank sensor.

My friend seems to tell me that he has tried to clean out the injectors with wd-40, Could you please give me any advice on how to clean the crank sensor as i am sure this is the problem as there is alot of white lithium grease smothered all over the belt and pulleys. Is it possilble that a fiat dealer would come out with a diagnostic machine and if so would it tell me my problem.

He says if you use a 10mm spanner to take out a bolt which is holding the sensor in place you can take it out and clean it. Also clean the main pully. Having it on the belt may make the belt soft and wear quicker, he recommends changing it. Fiat prob wouldnt come out to do a diag check on it, try a local mobile diagnostic mechanic, you'll find their names in yellow pages.
Using WD40 on your injectors could have damaged them, you should have used injector cleaner.
