Just a simple question regarding wireless internet connection on laptops.
On my desktop pc im getting about 1gig when i do a test on speedtest.net.
I got a new (and first ever) laptop today and when i connect to the internet wirelessly im only getting about 200kb and its running extremely slow. Is there anything that can be done to improve this or not? is this normall and to be expected?
Also im not sure where to expect the best speed in the house! The router is downstairs but i have a netgear plug upstairs which has a cable running into the desktop pc. Any ideas where i should get the best speed?
Appologies if these sound like retarded questions but im a bit dense when it comes to these sorts of things.
