i have a problem with my brakes on my cinq.....when i apply them there is initial pressure on the pedal...then it sinks to the floor and pulls off to the left:eek: it is quite annoying:mad: could it be the brake servo? or master cylinder:confused:

Pulling off to the left suggests something other than servo (almost certainly not) or master cylinder (you'd expect all brakes to be affected).

Investigate the right hand caliper. Look for signs of a brake fluid leak. Pull it off and check the pads. I suspect that one of the seals in the caliper is faulty.

I'd imagine its one of the two MC circuits has gone. This would mean one rear and opposite front would not be working, and as the front does most of the work, it would pull to one side.

Only about £20 + new fluid though, so not to hard to replace.

Give everything else a check over as well though to be sure :)

Guide on replacing master cylinder up by the end of the week. If it's a caliper, it will be the one opposite to the one that "pulls". If it's not that, it'll be the MC. Easy enough job: hardest bits are putting the reservoir back on and making sure you don't cross thread the brake nuts.

when i did mine a couple of the unions just broke off in the MS.
plenty of releasing fluid in advance is best, like i didnt
