Hi there this is my first post !!! 
I bought a 99' T plate Punto, 1.7 Diesel last week end, since then had nothing but trouble with it.:bang:. I have read all the threads about the Key Code problems and potentially how to solve them, but all have failed, now i called out a mobile mechanic, how put it through some diagnostics and he has said the reason the key code light is staying on is because the Fuel Pump has had it... Now i have phoned round a few placesm and no one seems to be able to get them,
A couple of questions for you wonderful people.
1. does a diesel fuel pump from a 1.4 punto diesel work on my 1.7?
2. Does it sound feasable, that the code key light stays on because of the pump not working?
3 do any of you have a pump for my car, or know of where i could get my hands on one please.
i fell in love with this car its a lovely orange colour lol.......
