General Help needed!!

Hi Guys,

I have a mk escort with a fiat 2 ltr twincam engine fitted. I do not know very much about it is all the work was done when i bought the car. Im missing the bolt out of the crank pulley and im having awful trouble trying to find one.its been going on nearly a year now!i do know that the gearbox i had to get for it was out of a 125 sport and iv been told the engine is probably the old one,pre 1980? any help in finding a bolt or a solution would be appreciated

I suspect the same left-hand threaded crankshaft gear bolt was used on all the "twink" engines.

I've just looked at an old MicroFiche parts catalogue (that brought back a few memories) for the old Croma, it shows:

5999849 ....... Bolt.............£6.70 +VAT
11194174.......Lock Washer..£0.63 +VAT
60807137.......Flat Washer...£3.63 +VAT

All these parts are still available to order from Fiat. The prices are from the current edition 50 of the ePER parts catalogue.

Hi Gary,

It won't be a 125 Sport - there wasn't one, and it didn't have a 2 litre. Was it meant to be a 131 Sport engine & gearbox?

You might want to find out specifically which it is - at some point you might need specific parts. Do you have the engine number to trace it back?

I have a 1600cc twin cam engine I'm using for spares. I think it still has the crank pulley bolt. I will have a look for you.
