General Help Needed With Speedo Problem

Sitting in traffic tonight and I noticed my speedo's needle shot around to 100mph then back to 0. It done it sunday night aswell but i was not sure if it was my eyes because I had just been startled by a Range Rover with Xenon lights. Both times this has happened my headlights have been on.

On the plus side though I was sitting in the markers of a speed camera. I will never have the needle round at 100mph whilst going through a speed camera again.

All advice welcome because I am stuck on this one.

maybe you were actually going 100mph without realising it, and then when you regained conscience you slammed on the breaks while watching the speedo. have you been taking a lot of drugs lately? ketamine could explain it.

or maybe its just the usual fiat electrical gremlins that are affectionaltely known as 'niggling faults' by the motoring press. we fiat owners do enjoy a good niggle.
