Technical help needed with fume smell in car

at the end of my tether now with the wives grande 1.2 56 reg punto, when sat at a junction/lights and the engine is at normal temp there is a fume smell coming into the car when the blowers are on, now ive had a mk 1 and a mk2 punto before and remember the mk 1 suffering from this and it was just a case of cleaning out a breather pipe. now so far i have repleced both pipes under the air box(lge short 1 and long thin 1) and to be fair they were both split, and thought that would fix the problem. now has any of you guys got any other ideas on how to sort this?

ours was split breather pipe to air filter 1.4 56 reg grande
(fix is cut split out join with similar tube/pipe !-)

The thicker of the 2 pipes feeds fuel/oil/something like that lol, back into the engine, just make sure its not loose/split/blocked as that may cause it to be leaking. If not check the part of the airbox where the pipes join and look for breaks there

Yeah bound to be the breather pipe, if its the usual thicker one about £12 from the dealer

no mate,no spilt oil had the car up on the ramp at work yesterday.

no idea m8, however as chris said further up, its only £12ish if not so its hardly gonna kill the wallet lol
