HELP NEEDED! URGENT!

Hey guys - I was rather clever and clipped a rather large kerb a couple of weeks ago - anyway, this weekend my boyfriend is changing the lower suspenion arm for me (passenger side) and he is having great difficuty putting the new arm on - particularly lining up the components . any tips?

Which bits is he having trouble with? The 4 bolts?

from memory he said it was lining everything up and linking the anti roll bar

Ahh

This is where a crowbar comes in useful.

Bolt the lower arm in place, get someone to push down on it while you lever the antirollbar up and into its hole.

Its not a nice job.

any ideas how to tighten the track rod end? the bolt and thread are both twisting

 

[Tom]

Hit it with a mallet or something to jam the taper into the hole. Not a hammer though as that will damage it.

If the thread's on the top, let the car down with the track rod end resting on a stout piece of wood until it wedges the taper. (Not too much weight!)
