Help needed urgent

Ok,

Today about an hour ago I went to car park to meet my friend for a run round the park when just as I was pulling up the engine stammered and stoped (which left me diaganol). popped the hood and found no "rediator cover" i think thats what you call it and water was just pouring over the brim.

I let it cool down but every time I turned the engine water just kept coming and temp reading to the roof.

Will simply re filling with coolant and new "lid" fix it?

Do you mean the rad/expansion bottle cap?
water pouring out / head gasket/ may be air locked
thermostat stuck
fan not working
But where's the cap?
