Technical Help needed starts but gas pedal not working!!

Hello can anyone help????

I have a doblo 1.6 petrol 04/05 model. The van starts as normal but I the gas pedal stop working!!!! :bang: :bang:

Is this something that has happened to others???

I keep getting told it is the throttle body is a second hand 1 ok??
