hi, my mate and fellow forum user has kerplunked his laptop while working on an eper program for us all. does anyone have a cheap laptop he can buy to finish off the good work and get back on the forum? thank you.

how cheap, how old and what spec can he work with? i have some fairly old ones, pentium 4 or celeron or something im not sure, needs power supply!!

in fact, now im looking, i have three. ones a Acer C111 tablet-bit small, ones an Acer TM244lc - battery knackered needs power and the other is an Acer 3683 buti think that needs a new screen but works ok lol...

Price... As cheap as possible even a loan of one would suffice for a few months

Ive got windows xp upwards so anything that will run a vaguely recent os

im tempted by your aspire... How bad is the screen? Is it cracked or is the inverter shagged because i have an inverter from my extensa also iirc it runs DDR i have a couple of gig and a 120 HDD that i can swap out

aye, works fine on an external screen, but as I work in IT, I seriously cannot be bothered. All I want to do when i get home, is play with my cars. NOT my toy cars, my real cars, you understand.
