Technical HELP needed!Door wont close!

My parents 97 Marea Hlx 20v weekend has a problem.

The drivers door will not close or lock!!!My dad said he thought he heard a click when he unlocked it(manually with the key) and now it wont close!!

He has removed the door skin as much as he can but there are 3 bolts he cant undo!

Someone has suggested this may be a central lockin problem and electrical but wouldnt that effect all doors not just the one???

Any help/advice greatly appreciated!

Hi - I had the same but opposite problem with my door - it wouldn't UNlock. I stripped the internal fixing from the door, all to no avail. I eventually wound down the window and inserted a wire coat hanger with the end hooked, played around near the lock and hey presto it unlocked! None of the other doors were affected.I too posted a cry for help on this forum but got no advice at all. Try the wire coat hanger and hope for the best. Cheers.
