Can anyone help or is this fiat500 really scrap?

My son purchased a fiat500x. Within days it was failing with limp home fault. The garage eventually agreed that for more money they would exchange it for another.

It's been okay for a year or so now this one is doing the same. The garage saying they can't find a fault.

Is there a specialist I can pay to diagnose this so we can get a fix??

What engine is it? Also I presume if it’s in limp mode you have the EML illuminated? If so you’ll have a fault code stored and most reputable garages should be able to read the fault code for a small fee
