hi i was just wondering if anyone could help ive recently accquired a bravo sx v reg that has factory fitted cassette radio with cd controls,(minus the cd changer of course!) after much searching on the net for a suitable cd changer ive learned that these models are supposed to be fitted with the cd changer lead that runs through to the boot somewhere apparently?so after an hour of ripping off panels and pulling back boot linings still no joy!?!can someone please put me out of my misery if my car is actually fitted with one and if so where is it actually located?the model is 1.2 16V SX (80bhp) 5d would be truly grateful thanks!

MK2 (which includes a V-reg) will not have a cd changer cable.

Only came fitted in MK1 Bravos.

insy, my mk 2, 2001 brava had the cabel in the boot, but it also had a single (fiat) cd player! i think it varys across the range!

would it not be easier to remove the tape deck and see if the cable is plugged into the back?

My mk2 01 1.2 sx bravo had cable and changer fitted - the cable ran from the back of the stereo (green socket which slots onto the blue and yellow sockets to become one big connector) to underneath the back seats. I actually still have both the cable and the changer, and they are for sale! (well the cd changer is - the cable would just come with it).

insy i have seen loads of mk 2's with out the cable, could just of been that mine had it fitted as an option and then preivous owner removed changer but left cable

As above. The MKII's only came with the cable IF the changer was taken as an extra option (or standard in trofeo models etc)
Cable was in ALL MKI's whethere CD changer was fitted or not.
Back to original post. Look under the rear seat behind the driver. It's a MKII so if it DID have a changer when it came out of the dealers it would be located there.
