Hi mate..... had a v quick go on some CCTV enhancement software..... V??1 WXG

If you can decide on what car make/model it is, ask the police to do a VODS search on it and they should be able to trace it. Weather it was stolen or on false plates at the time is a different matter.

Good luck,
Alan

been playing with the image a bit, it *appears* to me anyway, that the no. plate is W*** W*G or maybe W***WRG

was gonna suggest an EK civic, but not so sure now

yep, thats what the reg looked like to me! Also found that its not actually black, but more of a deep red colour!

One thing, if these are the scumbags what are the odds either the car is stolen or the plates are false.

you'd be surprised at the stupidity/arrogance of these people, i wouldnt be surprised if its the driver's car regsited in his name to his home address, however i would be surprised if it has tax test and insurance.

thats never a renault 19.

I used to own a 19, before I saw the light. Trust me that could be a Renault 19 16v. Its the rear lights and the way the bonnet is shaped, forget about the alloys and the weird number plate.

my mother also owned a renault 19, the back of that car is not a 19.

Sorry been at work and only just got back to a computer, it was seen in the carpark by one of our fitters who, at about half 3 so i cant really blame him, thought it was odd but didn't take a second look. he said it was a K reg, this is the sort of corolla it looks like to me, it has been modified so the wing mirrors, bumper etc may have been changed.

had a go in photoshop but couldnt get anything much better than the original photo, just a bit brighter or to bright.

From what i can see is it also has some side skirts on, well thats what i think anyways, i could prob trace and outlike of the vehicle in photoshop if need be, like windows etc so it all stands out?

seems to have a long sloping rear. wing mirrors look changed as the slope upwards. typical of new backing plates. possibly m3 mirrors. defnitly side skirts and something done to rear bumper so moved rear number plate. not sure what car. few playinh round. possibly old escort...

if it was me i would be at the next few cruises finding the car. you know a lot about it now so just need to find it. or another option talk to someone in a local car shop or halfords. they tend to know most modified cars around

thanks for the offer mate, but i don't want ya spending age trying to trace around a bad photo, with the mods that have been done to the car i should be easy to sopt around dewsbury, its really annoyin me tho because i know i've seen it driving around:bang: if theres anyone up in the dewsbury area could you please keep your eyes peeled and jot down the numberplate?
