Help I need a Gearbox

I have a Punto 1.2 8v Active 53plate & today my Gearbox died.
The RAC man said they are cheap to get a hold of as they are a standard Gearbox that fit many cars.
Can anyone help point me the right direction? I live in Bristol

Looking at this forum I think my Punto is a mk2b? I would call it a mk3 as I find punto things on eBay easier that way like the headlight that are different from the mk2

Hi.
Gearboxes should be pretty reasonable.

Personally. I would buy a whole MOT failure for less than ONE HUNDRED POUNDS online. Then you can actually test the gearbox before the swap.

I bought a used gear box from a 06 plate Punto with only 45k on the clock for £100 at my local scrap yard. A new Clutch kit £30 on eBay. Local garage charged me £150 to fit. All sorted
