Help!! I have a semi auto punto that won't go into automatic

Hi I have a semi auto punto but it won't go into automatic it drives in manual but won't go into auto? Any ideas? Thanks

For the best response, repost this in the correct section for your car.

Scroll down the front page to the 'Fiat cars' section, then on down to select the correct Punto model. They have year dates to help. Beware, Grande is higher up the list due to the 'G', others down at 'P'.

I am guessing this is a Grande Punto..
But the system in the later punto and Evo is probably 99% the same
