My td100 is very slow, i have been told it was the timing of the fuel pump and it would need setting electronically. It does 17 seconds up to 60, and a 1.2 punto pases me everyday whilst going up a the dual carrageway.
Does anypne have any ideas, could it be the egr, censors somewhere or turbo.
It is not the injectors they are perfect.
If it was the pump, is it possible that it could need stting electronically.

Ive got a TD100 can safely say you should be beatign puntos. Have you checked boost pressure, check all your hoses for loose connections, splits etc Can you hear the turbo spinning up?

Try the air flow sensor. Supposed to be the biggest culprit for underpowered diesels.

Cheers I will check all these.

How to I test the boost pressure, and does something need replacing before it is wrong.

I hear that the airflow censor is costly, would it be repariable.

The hoses all look a bit duff. I am not even sure if they are in the right place. Does that look right.

Re: td100

i'll attach a pic of mine on friday for you to compare yours against. The problem I had with boost pressure loss was the one that comes from the actuator on the turbo, a small piece of vacuum hosing had rubbed on the fan housing! its on the very front down next to the downpipe!
hope it helps

See the actuator is it suposed to push or pull that rod that moves something inside the turbo.

When you give the engine revs it does not move, no matter how much throtol you give it.
