Punto (Mk1) Help: Fiat Punto ELX ECU

hello...

basically the mothers punto has got a Engine Managment problem

(lights flashing) i was wondering where the ECU port is as i cant seem to find it anywhere...

anyone have any ideas?

On my mk2 its located in the interior fuse box by the drivers door post.

Its under the r/h side of bonnet, close to the engine bulkhead a strange 3 pin type.
The mk1 was pre obd so the normal protocol will not work. You can get an aftermarket Fiatscan, however it wont show you much to get the engine going ok. Better to give a description of how the engine is running, there are so few things to give trouble ie:-
Timing belt junped.
Temp sensor faulty
Plugs, leads, coil.
Vacuum leak or MAP faulty
O2 sensor faulty

Listed in the most likely order.
