help chunks taken out of my tyres

i've just been to Bristol for the week, once i got there i discovered my tyre to be shreded and a 5mm deep chunk taken out right around the whole tyre. I'm a bit worried as i have had my 17's on for 7 months now and never had a problem.

would you think it's something serious or something easily sorted - any help would be great.

well does ur wheels ever rub. i have 17's and they dont rub at all... mabey u rent oover something dodgey?

my wheels have never rubbed since putting them on - it's only the back drivers side one - i'm worried i've done something bad to cause this.

Where is the chink taken out of on the tyer, the tyre wall? how big exactly?

if its the tyre wall, and its more than about 2mm then i'd advise a new tyre, asap.

Did you check the pressures before you left.

If you loaded it with luggage AND did some speed on the Mway, that may have caused the problem.

I'm thinkin if it is the tyre wall maybe you scraped a curb or something, easy to do and not noticable if music is on etc, sometimes u cant even feel it, but yes, if its the wall and 5mm probaly a new trye a gd idea unless u wanna ruin those pretty rims.
