Hi,

I have to change rear brakes because the they have been making horrible noise lately.

Since I do not have Haynes Manual for this car, can someone just direct me.

When I remove tyre, there are 2 bolts on front of drum, the bearing in middle, and few at the rear.

Which ones do I need to remove in order to get to shoes and change them.

CAR: 2000(X) 1.1 Punto

Any additional adivse please...

Thanks!!!

Wheel off.
Remove 2 locating bolts.
Prize drum apart.
Everything becomes clear.

Removed wheel and two aligning bolts.

Can't remove the drum easily.

I will have to give it a good whack tommorow, too late for making noise now.

Thanks richie

It will be stiff, most of them need quite a bit of banging with a persuasion implement.

And a coal chisel or similar.

I assumed so that's why I left it for tommorow.

I think that my drums are damaged due to driving long on worn or no brake shoes.

Do local car parts shops have drums for sale or do they need to order them?
