Help, car has just died

Went to go to my Brava just there, and the central locking is not working, only opening driver side (although that's where I put my key) and when I went to turn the key in the ignition, absolutely nothing, not even a single noise. The car is completely dead.

Any ideas?

Flat battery, poor connection on battery?

You think? It was absolutely fine last night, and the warning light for the battery wasn't on recently to be able to tell that.

I live in Dundee as well and am through visiting relatives in Glasgow so am stranded

Does anything else electrical work when you turn the key, I.E. lights, stereo ? Do they fade when trying to turn the engine over ?

If nothing electrical works, or fades dramatically when trying to turn the engine over, it's almost certainly your battery. Check the terminals are seated correctly incase one has come off.

Can you get a jump start off anyone ?

If your electrics seem to be fine and still nothing happens, it could be something more serious, but difficult to tell.

I used to have breakdown, but not anymore. Nothing electrical is working. Lights only come on when key has turned, same for stereo. Horn or nothing is working, everything I can think of that normally works when the key is out isn't. Have got a guy coming over to have a look, but gonna be a call out charge and he can't get here till 6pm-ish. Wanted to hit the shops too, typical female lol.

Sounds like a dead battery. Something like an interior light may have flattened it or it may just be in need of renewal

My boot light completely flattened my battery.

Try and get a slave battery for a jump-start.If you can turn the engine from the battery terminals then your battery connections are ok. Should start ok.
