Help! Airbox screw stuck!

Typical. I finally get me a K&N kit, then I can't get me bloody airbox off! What has happened is the screw has seized in the brass insert, net result being that when I try to undo the screw the insert rotates inside the plastic the other end and it don't come out!

Short of hacksawing it, anyone got any ideas?

I'm sure someone said if you remove the arch liner, you can get at said bolt from underneath, or at least stop it from turning...

I ended up leaving the bottom half of the box in there, and cutting off the bolts...

Yep, I feel a hacksaw moment coming on. Gave up for tonight, then as I put the filter in the boot realised I had a flat tyre too

If your putting an induction kit in there, just bust it out....

if you want to take it out properly so that it can always be put back in it's a wheel off job - arch liner off then it just slips out the bottom. much easier than forcing the thing out through the top!
