Hi,

I am looking for a solid LWB van to use on weekends to carry my young kids Motocross bikes, always loved the Ducato so have been looking for one to buy.

Currently have an option to buy a 2007 fiat ducato maxi jtd lwb 2.3 16 valve euro4 but it has nearly 300K highway miles on it (it is immaculate inside and out) on the clock and currently has a fuelling fault.

The mechanics report has stated that it is "over fuelling on injectors 3&4", i have two questions:

- 300K on an Iveco or Transit i understand, but if maintained well is it too much on a Fiat Ducato?

- Has anyone had experience in replacing multiple injectors? Costs?

Does anyone know a good mechanic in Leicester LE4?

Any help appreciated.

Regards,
Damien

Overfuelling could have knock on effects like diluting the oil wearing the bore overheating the cat. It could also be a sign pf general injection system wear you could be lookibg at new pumps new ibjectors. My advice is if you can't fix it yourself don't buy a broken vehicle unless its so cheap that having a good used engine installed still makes it a bargain.
