Punto (Mk2/2b) Hello :)

A good morning to all of you. I decided to register to this forum since I haven't been able to find the answers on our Slovenian forum. I am browsing through the forum topics, trying to find them. I apologize in advance for asking questions that have already been answered...the sheer volume of posts is overwhelming . My punto is a 2002 1.2 8V and unfortunately, after 13 years, it's time to say goodbye. Before I decide to sell it for spare parts, I need some answers


The search option have me 1000 posts, so for the first question; it seems the engine block is cracked close to the water pump...why do I need to change the ecu and locks in addition to the "new" engine?

Hi .
if you use SEARCH in the Advanced Setting.

You can use ENGINE CHANGE in the top left.
and
PUNTO 2b in the bottom right.

Your cars electronics are linked/paired.

However if you swap ALL of the electronics from YOUR ENGINE it should work o.k.

aah, thanks for the info
ecu was repaired a few months ago, so I doubt it makes any sense trying to find a new engine and swapping all the parts...
