Just a quick note to say hello to everyone. I just bought a '79 X1/9 with 43k and while I'm no stranger to working on cars this will be the first Fiat I've ever owned. Nothing like just jumping right in! It needs a little body work but otherwise is in pretty decent shape. I look forward to learning a lot here - especially where to find parts.

Can't really offer too much information as to parts suppliers in the US but I can certainly recommend you pay a visit to the X1/9 section on here to get more information.

Welcome Eric, Again as per Grimwau says best place to check out is the X1/9 section, we have a good few members in the US so should be able to offer advise and help

Thanks guys, and yes - I promise I'll post pix as soon as I get some decent ones. I hope to start going through the car in more depth this weekend, getting rid of the spider nests, etc. It's really a time capsule - the front tires are still original!
