Technical Hello, newbie here! Need help. Fuel pump issues.

Hello! New here and I need some major help with my 2018 fiat 500 turbo pop. She's been having issues with her fuel pump and today i looked at the connector and notice that the connector is 6 prongs, and the pump itself is 4 prongs. A 6 prong pump is really expensive. Would it be possible to switch out the 6 connector for a 4 connector?So it can fit a four pronged fuel pump? Would it cause any damage to the car making this change?
