Wow what a big place this is. First off my name is Lisa (obviously)
I need a little help and advice if possible and I am not sure if this is the correct forum to post it in? Sorry if not.
You will have to excuse my poor technical knowledge hence why I am here.
Ok here goes. I have a Fiat punto ELX R reg sat on my drive at the moment. It is in great condition both inside and out and I am only the 3rd lady owner. I bought it from my fiancee's mother who bought it to pass her test late in life and found it far too fast, she did not use it and she ended up with an automatic I got the punto. I love the car to bits and it was my first car after passing my test. I have had if for about 2 year but for the past 6 months it has been a bit sick.
I have been told the head gasket has gone. Me being very stupid decided that I could not afford to fix it and went out and got a ford puma on finance ooops! So now I have my lovely dream puma and a broken down punto, which is upsetting me to see go to waste because I know it will make someone a great car. I really want to fix it and get it sold or even sell it broken but I do not know what type of money I am looking at here.
How much am I looking at for a new head gasket if it is fitted by a garage? I havent even dared ring for any quotes yet.
How much do you think I can get for it if I decide to make a quick sale and sell it needing a new head gasket?
Baring in mind this is a great little car in excellent condition.
Does anybody know anyone who is into buying and fixing or buying and breaking punto's?
I just need some general advice that car is going to waste and it sadden's me.
