Been here a few times looking for answers so I'd best join up.

Passed my test in January and driving a 2001 Punto 1.2 ELX Speedgear and loving it.

It's an automatic, when I'm sitting at lights with the brake on the car makes a loud noise as if somethings shaking quite bad underneath. Stops as soon as my foot comes off the brake. Doesn't make the noise with the handbrake on.

Anyone else ever had this?

sounds a little odd,

1st impressions are it's trying to drive / pull away hence the juddering , but which brake you are using shouldn't make a difference,

does it do it AT ALL in slow moving traffic..when the wheels are still turning..??,:idea:

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, not been a good month.
Thanks for the reply, the car only does it when im sitting at lights. If put the handbrake on and take my foot off the brake the noise stops, then when i put my foot back on the brake the noise doesnt come back. It's a weird one. No other problems with the car , just this noise :/
