Hello everyone,
I'm sure, going by the amount of problems I have with my Doblo, I will be a regular contributor to the forum!
I have a Y reg Doblo 1.9, I've had it for 4.5years. In December it had a replacement engine, then a week later new glo-plugs and then a month later a new alternator. Its now intermittently starting, no rhyme nor reason as to where & when. It did it only where I parked in one specific place, on a slope, so I bump started it and it would go. It turns over but just won't fire up. Now it's started doing the same thing at home.
Its sitting on the drive at the moment as I've flattened the battery trying to start it. There's almost half a tank of fuel in it before anyone asks! lol
It did the same thing on Tuesday morning & 2 neighbours helped me push it and it wouldn't start and then one neighbour turned the key & it went sitting at the side of the road. Every morning after that it has started & once it gets going it goes all day even with me stopping & starting to pick up & drop off dogs. I can't really afford to have it away at a garage for days as if I don't have my car I can't work.
It did something similar a few years ago & after one garage said the fuel pump had gone, I took it to another who diagnosed the crankshaft sensor had gone & replaced it for £70 but he had the car for over 2.5 weeks because he was so busy! I can't live without my car for that long!
Any help/suggestions please? Anyone in east Scotland who could help? Thanks.
