I brand new to the forum. I am currently staying in Colombia, and recently bought a 1981 Fiat 147GL hatchback. I'm needing some info on wiring and lights. Does anyone know what more common model might be similar to the 147gl?

Hi and welcome.
not familiar with that model. What engine capacity?
my guess would be 1049cc..similar to the Fiat 127 of that era

I believe it is similar to the 127. It was manufactured in Brazil and Colombia.
I am having some trouble with a front turn signal. I don't see any way to remove the housing. Does anyone know how to remove the housing? I'd also like to find a wiring diagram for the car, and the diagram for the fuse panel. Thanks.

Palio tends to be our 127 person nowadays, :worship:

I'd assume that the 2 x plastic headed screws on the FRONT of the lens would gain access to the bulb,
removing the actual lamp unit from the body work..- not so sure??,
In my defence it has been 30 years..;)

Yes the 147 was a Brazilian version of the 127. As far as I know it was very similar - is this a 1049cc version?

Might be useful to see a few pics front/back/side/dash/engine so we can visualise what you are referring to. If you ask about the fuse box & it's the same as our 127's I can help - if it's completely different we may be struggling! Do you mean the front indicator, or side repeater - Charlie is right about the front one (2 screws for the lense - drill out the plastic when it crumbles - they always do! The whole unit has 2 nut/bolts accessed from behind the bumper - mk2 127 anyway) . (y)

Well I took some pictures, but am not able so far to get them from my smartphone to the computer. There are two bolts behind the bumper to remove the turn signal/parking light housing. The fuse panel is on the passenger side, on top of the fender, clear back against the firewall. It uses the old torpedo type of fuses, 10 of them.
