Grande Punto Hello all...

Hello all

New today to the forum. On other forums as am a VeeDub fan (mostly transporters as I have a bay and a type25) but yesterday bought an 06 Grande Punto 1.2 Active for my 2 daughters, 20 and 17, the youngest of which has just passed her test. Family-wise we are on our 3rd Fiat with a history in the past of owning a 98 1.6 Brava, and before that a 93 Tempra Estate TD SX ... Loved both and they proved magnificent workhorses.

The Grande Punto seems very well-behaved at present, though both back door handles are knackered... easy fix? Going to put an aux lead in when it arrives off ebay... the kids love the new music :slayer:.

Personally, I've always hankered after a coupe, maybe I'll treat myself one of these days. Hope to get hints and help off the forum to keep the GP on the road, safe and secure for the kids...

look at the top of GP section for FAQs And recall list..lots of good info there.
Cam belt is worth checking..normally do pulleys and waterpump as the same job..

Cheers thanks for the help. Cambelt and pump done at 60k and its now on 78K so should be OK. It spluttered a bit after getting seriously damp in the rain... seems ok now though...
It may be a humble 1.2 Active, but it seems to be a lot of car for the money. (so far at least! )
