Just saying hi, as I've just joined. I've been a mechanic for many years now. But also a keen mechanical engineer, coded welder and weld inspector etc. I generally like playing with metal, and fixing whatever I can.
I've also been involved in restoring an Aston Martin DB5 recently. Lots of corrosion repair and welding, and also extensive aluminium welding on the bodywork.
I recently fitted a new clutch to my 2011 fiat 500 twinair. Not the easiest of jobs on a drive, but all is fine. I've decided I want to keep this fiat going as long as I can as my partner bought it new, then gave it to her son, who was not quite as sympathetic with it as I would have been. Now I have it and it's a great little car.
Anyway, that's a little bit about me.
