Evening All

I have just signed up and am after some help as I have a problem with the heater on my 1.3 multijet 2006 Grande Punto. When I was coming home yesterday evening there was a burning smell from the heater then it gave up. I have already used some of the info on the FF to work out what the problem was. The wiring loom and resistor under the glove box are in bad shape. Its melted the wires/connector on the wiring loom and also damaged the resistor socket.

I need to replace both theses parts. Can I only get them from a fiat dealer? or can I get it from a spare parts place online? if so can anyone recommend website to where I can got to get theses parts? as I am new to all this.

Kind Regards

There are loads of these parts on ebay - some of the wiring looms are direct replacements and some of them are a do it yourself jobby but shouldn't take too long to do with a soldering iron and some heatshrink

Hello , and welcome to FF,:)
IF you need a section of loom, either Ebay, or a Vauxhall dealer,
as it's a Corsa loom apparently, half the price of FIAT..,

SEARCH will find you more info,

Morning,

Just a quick update for everyone. The Vauxhall wiring harness fits the Grande Punto and its £34.99 from Vauxhall, but if you search on ebay for it you can pick one up for £28.25 including delivery. The part can be found under the seller vauxhallpartsedinburgh

The part number for this wiring harness is as follows:- 95508692

Hi, sorry if I sound thick but what did you actually do?

Chopped the 4 wires then stripped them and crimped 4 yellow insulated terminals onto them. Mine has climate control so different to analogue heater in think. You can buy the analogue one from eBay for about £25 I think for a new loom with the correct plug and a new heater resistor.
