My heater blower motor or fan is squeaking occasionally, e.g. when I put the brakes on. Is there anything I can do to stop this, e.g. lubricate it?

Perhaps someone will know, & then I wouldn't have to take it to bits unnecessarily!

I have noticed with mine if the control is set at off, there is an annoying squeak that I did not associate at first...just slightly move the lever cures it...I fear yours might be more involved, and probably what mine is coming to so any quick fixes welcome

Dont know how well recommended this would be but what I did was removed the pollen filter (not fitted in all vehicles but needs to be removed if fitted for this to work) put cloths over all the vents inside the van, switched blower on full and sprayed silicone oil (back to black) down the intake untill it stopped squeeking. Never had a problem since (y)
