Technical 2002 heater fan issue

I have recently bought a 1.9 scudo and the fan worked fine on it until recently.

It now works for the first minute or so after starting the vehicle, the slider for the control has got resistance. It then slowly dies off and the slider for the fan moves easily.

It still heats up though. I've looked at previous posts and I imagine it could be the 4 pin plug but wanted to double check as the resistance of the slider does off too.

You need to change the resistor pack which is houseed near the motor under passenger footwell
Take out the plastic container
Take the motor out and in there is a resistor pack
It should sort the problem £30 ish on ebay

Hello there, did you get the heater fixed? I have similar problem.. Slide control for heater (fan) became intermittant then died completely. Still heat coming from vent/ engine. But no fan control...
Best to change resistor pack?
