Technical 1.6d clutch and gearbox issues

Hi all. My 1.6d 09 has juddering problems in first when warm and also pops out of 5 th gear.
I have seen a number of comments but all relate to 1.9 or 2.0.
Any suggestions what I should try first and how to do it please and what I need to watch for it how to educate a mechanic if I need to
Ie how do I top up the gearbox?

Just to add to your fun, what is the engine Series number (it may be on the chassis/vin plate) I have two 2010 Fiat Doblo 1.6 diesels, they are 1598cc.
However I think you may find the 1.6 engine in your Fiat Scudo is 1560cc, so presumably the gearbox details will be different as that engine is Peugeot/Citroen based, in which case their Forums may have more relevant details.
I was looking at buying another Fiat Scudo but my preference is the 2.0 litre L1H1 version as the engines are more powerful and live a bit longer, they also have the Peugeot/Citroen engine although a different design and were used in Fiat Scudo taxis, often to over 300,000 miles with good servicing. They are used in Peugeot Experts and Citroen Dispatch also I believe.
