Hi
MK1 LHD
How can I remove the heater matrix? I can see it's held by 2 bolts.
I've removed them but it's stuck. shouldn't it be easy to slide it off?

Do I need the square rubber gasket? the new one came without it.

I've installed a new heater matrix,
warm air is coming out the front vents but absolutely not HOT.

Using paraflu, thermostat is new, engine gets to operating temp (middle of the gauge), both matrix hoses are hot to the touch (even inside the car).

Air only comes out when I turn the fan speed to 1, when fan is not on, I get air from outside when the car is moving.

Air is not coming out from the windshield vents, but I can see the sponge door is closing when changing from leg to windshield knob.

Maybe the heating system of the uno is just s***?

From what I can remember (I had two Unos - MkI and MkII)

o There is a small air bleed top somewhere near the engine bay bulkhead for the matrix water feed

o The air temperature is controlled by 1) the valve on the matrix and 2) there is a flap to mix/regulate the hot air off the matrix with cold air from outside. This flap may be stuck in the cold position.

Hi Chesh

How did you manage to remove the matrix? Did you remove the central console?

Hi
nope, look at the first picture
It was held by 2 bolts, I just pushed it out very hard and it finally came out.

Why was it so hard to pull out?
Is your car is left hand drive? The pedals get in the way in my right hand drive..

yes it's LHD
it had some kind of rectangle gasket that covers it, so it came out eventually.

The inflow is the bottom pipe (valve pipe) and the outflow is top pipe, right?
