Technical Heater Control Knob

Hi there,

I have snapped the heater control knob and was wondering whether a replacement knob would suffice or whether I need to buy the black unit which the knob connects behind the facia? Appreciate the guide for removing this piece on this website.

I cannot seem to remove the snapped piece which sticks out from this unit.

in my mk1 i just super glued it back in place when i snapped mine

Thanks - gave that a go to no avail.
Ended up buying the part (box unit which you fit the knob onto) in our local FIAT dealer and fitted myself. Job done!

Marcus...Had the same problem..went tight then snapped inside when I forced it. What's invoved in replacing the switch unit...do you have to dismantle the fascia? david
