Hi, had anyone removed the idle air control valve from the throttle body?
I'm guessing it will get broken in the process but that's okay as I'm replacing it.
Just want to know if anyone has any tips to make it easier.
Drill it
Pull it
........
Thanks

All I can tell you is I have removed those metal clips and taken the cover off a few times and nothing got broken. I am not sure why I did that!

Can't see any metal clips on mine. It looks like it just pushes in like a press fit bearing?

That's a good shout. I've tried to clean it and put it back now. Daughter needs it for work tomorrow.
Most of the time is fine but very occasionally while waiting at lights etc, it would drop revs from the normal 800. Almost stall but the ECU revs it so as to not stall. It keeps doing it over again.
Pull away and then it will be fine. I assume dirty or faulty.
I'll see how it goes over the next few weeks but she is off to uni in September so want to fix it by then......
