Hi has anyone had any experience of retro fitting the heated washer mod.
If so how much & from where. My car is a 2.4 selespeed abarth bought from new - no problems other than post dealer servicing. (touch wood, touch wood,
touch wood.) I was a forum user previously but have worked abroad for a couple of years & tried & failed miserabley to log in so I am a newbie for the moment till I get it sorted. Any help will be gratefuly received.
Thanks - PSYCHOSIS.

Yes Fiat definately do the heated washers because when I bought I had the option of the cold comfort pack offered. Which included heated leather seats, heated wash water & something else - which was crap as I didn't want leather seats anyway, so I would think that the mod is easily available I just have not had the time in working hours to look in to it.

I may be a bit thick here ben but does your abarth have heated washers (leather seats, cold comfort pack & do you have headlamp jets?

My jets freeze up often-BUT when after about 10 minutes they do spray- its warm water and it steams

My mate has commented that he wouldnt mind em on his car till I told him its bobbins

Didnt think they were heated

Thought it was just the heat of the engine?

I maybe wrong.

Also only noticed it this winter- as last winter my car was being rebuilt and it had a new washer bottle put in as the other bit the dust,

PSYCHOSIS - what was your previous user name on here? We will be able to merge your accounts (y)

I am not sure whether I have heated nozzles now - I would have thought it was standard though :chin:

I have heated seats & washer jets but no headlamp washers, thank god!(y)

I just added water to the washer bottle this morning and noticed that a couple of pipes run alongside the bottle (touching). Perhaps to heat / unfreeze the water. Anyway the pipes run pretty high up the bottle so if your water is low they won't make a difference.

Just checked ePER for you . . .

There is a different front wiring loom for vehicles with heated front wiper jets (option code is 110). One assumes it'll be controlled by the body computer or some other node that warms them up under a certain temperature. Maybe connecting them all the time won't be a good idea . . .

So ignoring the £333 wiring loom , the jets themselves are around £6 each, and are a few pence cheaper than the non-heated ones. Also available pre-primed to match the colour of your bonnet (I believe this was done on the early Abarths . . .)

I would assume the jets have the heating element in them, hence the need for a different loom and a different part number for the jets.

Stu, feel like sending a new copy my way :D. Have only got 04 version without the Schumi!
