how do i get my headlights off so i can paint the black bits inside them?

It's easy to get them off...(2 10mm bolts)...but getting them apart is the difficult bit as they are sealed...
Your better off getting a set of poly's and paint those...they will look much better...
(but you will still have the difficult task of prising them apart)...

The poly's are the polyelliptical headlights that i think can be found in mk2 Marea's...very expensive from Fiat, but you might be lucky and be able to pick up a set from a scrappy...
They look like this when colour coded...
IMO they look 100 times better 'cos of the clear lenses...

Those headlights on that car are not poly elliptical headlights. Poly Elliptical Headlights are clear, which we already know but here is the big one, the
Poly lights only have one mirrored headlight and the other is a bubble shaped glass that projects, hence why they are poly elliptical.
So proves my point that those are standard headlights with the internal fixtures painted red.
