General Headlights not working

headlights have just stopped working on 2003 (53plate) fiat ulysee, checked fuse and bulbs and they are both fine. Anybody got any ideas to whats wrong?????????????/

Had a similar problem in the Punto recntly, it turned out to be a contact in the switch. Can you still flash the headlights? If so, then it proves the circuit is intact and will point to a fault in the switch.
