General Headlight problem

Ave got a problem with my headlights a don't know what it could be I've checked for broken wires and blown bulbs couldn't find any but anyway the full beams aren't working and sometimes when I go out the car the lights automatically go on.. when I press the full beam switch I can hear the relay click so I don't think it's that put when I press the full beams the lights just surge and sometimes when I put the lights on the motor to adjust the lights move up snd down without pressing the button to adjust them

What car..and what year?

Most are generally robust.. but the later 500's can do weird things

Check the fuse box for water or any Rusty contact's see one or two people on here have the fuse box full of water

Also worth cleaning the battery and main earth cable contacts
