General Headlight Lens's

This morning


I parked up, got out of my car and was standing looking at it, and noticed that one of the headlights looked a bit wonky, so i prodded at it, and the entire lens fell off in my hands. and after similar treatment, the other one came off aswell. I've atempted to glue them back on again (having cleaning them and dryed them off in the oven) and it looks like its working.

has anyone had this happen to them before? just seems kinda weird, as I'm sure that it shouldn't happen...

What were you prodding it with? A hammer???

By 'prod' I mean to say I put light pressure on the lens from underneath, using my forefinger, to see if the light had come loose and then the lens just fell of into my hand. the glue had just come unstuck....

Probably cos of the hot weather. The Glue probably liquified causing it to detatch itself fromt the headlight.

I'm in New Zealand.
its the middle of winter here, so that counts that one out.
I think the glue just got a bit crappy and old. but its all
stuck back together with a two pot epoxy resin (and 24 hours to set)

so it it happens to anyone else, that seems to fix it up, saves you from
having to get a new light or what not.
