Headlight help?

Headlight help?

1st thing 1st,

I would change your headlight for the ones in a marea elx/hlx.

These are poly versions which basically point the light to the road rather than difusing it onto the road.

If you still think that you cant see then HID would be the key but you cant install HID into the normal bravo lights it would have to put into the poly lights due the brightness.

so first i have to install the marea lights, n then swap the bulbs in the marea lights for the xenon bulbs?
also dont xenon bulbs have a higher power rating, do i have to do anything to compensate for that? i mean nothing will melt, will it?

sorry if these questions are stupidly simple, i just dont want to mess anything up, and i've owned my bravo for less than a week lol

How come no one's been on here and said "don't buy those bulbs, they're sh*te!". If anything you'll get a lower light output with those so called xenon bulbs.

There are 3 things you can do to improve the light output of the Bravo, in order of cost:

1. Buy Osram Silverstar or Phillips Bluevision bulbs. (approx £20-£30)

2. Install Marea poly headlights with the above bulbs. (approx £20-£90 depending on luck)

3. Install a proper HID kit to the poly headlights. (approx £80-£130 depending on quality)

I did option 3 and it was the best mod ever, could see fookin' miles.

The only way to get pure white light is to fork out for a 6000k HID kit - well worth it though.

AAAh i see,but do the osra or philys in the blue make a diffrence with the polys? i know it has to better as at standerd they are pi*h but would it be a good diffrence,or are you just aswell buying the kit?

And whats the best price you have seen said kit for?

Cheers scotty

They do make a difference but if I were to do it all again I'd still pay 4 times as much for the HIDs. You can get a set off ebay for as little as £50-60...I can't vouch for quality though.

BTW they are dead easy to install but I'd fit them at the same time as the polys just to do a right proper job of it, ie get the ballasts hidden away and tidy the wires.
