my cars lowered 35mm (just the springs) and is now riding on 17/205's with an offset of 40. when i go over small bumps i can hear a sound like someone scrunching up a crisp packet (but not all the time). i can't hear the noise when bouncing the car when its stationary. i also get a high pitch squeel from the wheels occasionally at various speeds.

Sounds like your archs are rubbing! wouldnt get it stationary as the wheels aint spinning so they dont make a noticable noise!

I am lowered 35mm on 17s, think you needed to look on all the outside walls of your tyres to see if they have touched anything...but i dont get rubbing!!!!so i am probably wrong!lol

Get it up on jacks and see if the wheels go around smoothly.

Wheel bearings make a nasty grinding noise usually.

ok guys cheers. i dont think its the wheels rubbing as its something which has occured a couple of months after getting the wheels. but i'll try the jack test.

Generally the worst thing for wheel bearings is incorrect offset or wheel spacers. Moves the load point.
