I have just noticed that my rear washer is not working. The motor is running and water looks as if it is being pumped out somewhere at the left of the bulkhead ( there is a brake pipe union there that is wet) but I cannot locate where.

On cursory examination the pipes from the washer pump appear to go into the loom binding - is this correct?

My question is - does anyone have experience of this and if so, what would be the best solution: repair or run a new pipe?

The rear washer pipe goes through the large wiring grommet near the clutch master cylinder on the left side of the bulkhead (viewed from the front of the car).

If it's already leaking, you've got nothing to lose by cutting the leaking part out and rejoining the pipe with an inline joiner.

If the leak is a lot, this is probably the cause. If the leak is less, it may be a victim rather than the cause. If there is a blockage, the pressure has to escape somewhere.

You need to get behind the rear jet to disconnect the pipe there and see if water comes out there. This will determine if it is reaching the rear. A blocked rear jet could be the cause.
